Muslims control all of the Middle East except Israel, so that president Trump wants the Muslims to work things amongst themselves is logical, the U. S. defending Israel while things are worked out amongst the Turks, Kurds, Iranians, and Syrians. Belligerent Russia of course is in the mix, having established a big navy base at Tartus, Syria, over thirty years ago, thus Putin could be the one to start enforcing religious pluralism in the Muslim countries, the only way peace with Israel could be achieved with those nations. Saudi Arabia, rich and murderously bigoted against Judaism and Christianity, is also a big problem for peace, Saudi Arabia where practicing Christianity is a high crime punishable by murder.
