Most “anchor babies” will rightly be deemed illegal (not automatically citizens of the U. S.) by president Trump because the illegal-alien parents of those babies are citizens of another nation, and came into the U. S. as uninvited intruders, thus not even the babies born to asylum seekers will automatically become U. S. citizens. If the Founding Fathers wanted every baby born on U. S. soil to be U. S. citizens, they would’ve just said that, yet they added “under the jurisdiction of the U. S.,” that phrase certainly not necessary if not meant to be a further condition for birthright status.
