The skeptics of Trump’s presidential greatness, wondering why evangelicals back him, note that back in the 1990’s, president Bill Clinton, already known to be a mega sinner, was vehemently opposed by the evangelicals yet president Trump (ostensibly as bad) is strongly backed by the vast majority of them, that evangelicals should hate Trump like they hated Clinton, but Clinton was pushing leftist policies while Trump is for constitutional nationalism, the skeptics’ point therefore rendered moot.
