If you have a hard time picturing much of the world repopulated after Noah’s Flood (during the Ice Age) within several centuries, just note that the Israelites circa 1800 b. c. multiplied from 70 in Egypt (Joseph’s family) to almost 2 million in four hundred years by the time of the Exodus, and keep in mind that the longevities of those in the generations immediately following Noah’s flood were much greater, for an even more rapid rate of population growth early in the Ice Age.
