The Battle Hymn of the Republic with the line “while He (Jesus the Messiah) died to make us holy let us fight to make men (people) free” was perfect to end the ceremony led by president Trump at the Lincoln Memorial celebrating Independence Day, because that song was written to inspire the Union soldiers during the Civil War to free the slaves and preserve the Union, the United States.
