While Cambridge was probably named for Kamber who was a son of Brutus (British) of Trojan stock circa 1000 b. c., it’s tempting to say Cham the Fomorian was the namesake of Cambridge during the Ice Age circa 2000 b. c., because the Fomorians (later known as the Moors of Morocco), led by Cham, were apparently the first to northwest Europe after Noah’s Flood, come by sea, from Moor the words marine, muir, and mooring, where the ships come to rest.
