If Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell will huddle with House minority leader Kevin McCarthy on secure border legislation, they can gain a majority in the Republican-dominated Senate for passage and a majority too in the Democrat-dominated House by the support of 30 to 40 Democrats (with Nancy cooperating) who are up for reelection in traditionally Republican districts.
