The fact that Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer was at the infrastructure meeting yesterday at the White House, while majority leader Mitch McConnell was not, indicates that neither side was seriously thinking an infrastructure plan could be outlined for their potential agreement, because Schumer and Pelosi are certainly not willing to cooperate with Trump on a bill of such magnitude to be considered a win for him, and the Republicans led by Trump know the Democrats wouldn’t cooperate anyway.
