This morning by tweet, president Trump implied that he’s planning to punish Mexico for helping the migrants from Central America (and Mexico) into the United States illegally, and he certainly should punish Mexico mightily, yet probably can’t afford to (on economic grounds because of the USMCA), so the wall really is the only solution, which would leave the leaders of Mexico with no further leverage.
