Because so many people on both sides of the heated abortion debate feel so strongly pro or con, and since anti-abortion laws have been on the books since the inception of the Country, it is fair that the abortion laws pro or con (or somewhere in-between) be determined at the state level not federal, for that Roe v. Wade need be overturned.
