Hundreds of thousands of “wooly mammoths” (elephants) are frozen within mud in the Arctic, by the rapid melting of the Ice Age snowpacks to have entombed those elephants, quickly frozen thenceforth in that state, because the skies cleared when the Ice Age was ending, for much colder winters to have frozen the tundra deep, then little or no thawing of the elephants in the summers.
