On Face the Nation today, Florida senator Rick Scott noted that a grand plan for healthcare would be impossible with the socialist Nancy Pelosi running the House, but that small steps can be taken day-by-day, for instance to pass legislation to enforce drug prices for Americans as low as the prices in Europe (would Pelosi say no to that?), and more competition allowed across state lines by insurance companies, both alone which would result in significant decreases in consumers’ healthcare spending.
