Reportedly the Department of Justice under president Obama looked at Paul Manafort’s misdeeds but declined to file any charges against him, so if that’s true, it’s grounds for president Trump to pardon Manafort on the federal convictions, but the state conviction announced today in New York is another story, yet Manafort apparently had admitted guilt to Mueller before being indicted, for the crimes for which the state court has convicted him, so is that not double jeopardy, the NY conviction illegal?
