The great paradox for the Democrats to impossibly navigate for 2020 is that should Joe Biden enter the presidential race and be pilloried into submission during the primaries, several million Democrats who consider themselves liberal but not socialist will be pushed to backing Trump, while if Biden would win the Democrats’ nomination, the rabid socialist base would turnout tepidly to vote in 2020, and perhaps a considerable number would vote for Trump by then, seeing his way better than Venezuela’s.
