California has received so much snowfall this winter that the state is advising its skiers to stay off the slopes, which could be argued evidence of global cooling, when though in reality the greater snowfall is by more cloud cover and that by more evaporation off the ocean. The surface of the ocean could be warmer (for more evaporation) due to unusual atmospheric warming over the ocean, but more likely that more volcanic activity on the ocean floor is the culprit.
