When Lake Tritonis (now the Great Eastern Erg of northern Algeria) was settled by progeny of Sidon (Posidon) such as Neith (Athena) and Triton, that region became known as the land of the Amazons (Amazigh the language of the Berbers today), until the Ice Age ended circa 1500 b. c. for the great migration soon thereafter (apparently by land and sea) of the Amazons to the Aegean, led by queen Myrina whose history is well known followed by the Amazons replete in iron age Greek history.
