The excuse for all the witch hunting of Trump is that the Democrat base demands it, but the Democrat base is only about 30% of the electorate, the rest of the electorate sick-and-tired of the witch hunts, wanting instead solid legislation and merited investigations (such as of the conspiracy to clear Hillary and frame Trump), so the Democrats on Capitol Hill in their zeal to pin something on president Trump are marching their party to a disastrous Waterloo in 2020, when president Trump will win reelection and the Republicans will win back the House, perhaps in a very big way.
