Biblephobes can’t understand why Buddhist monks (ascetic priests) are called shamen in Chinese, saman by the Tungus of the Altai mountains of Russia, and schamane in German, because the word is from Shem, a son of Noah, defied too as Baal Shamin, Shamash, and worshipped at Sham i bala (Balkh), brought to far-flung regions by Japethites who though “dwelled in the tents of Shem.”
