Considering the border security fence built effectively will cost about $25 billion, the Democrats are getting off easy being asked to ok only $5.6 billion, so they’d better come onboard now lest Trump decide to really rub their noses in it, asking for $10 billion instead, which would not cause a drop-off in support for the border security fence rather probably increase support for it.
