It would be a huge slap-in-the-face to the millions of applicants trying to become U. S. citizens if Illegal aliens would be granted citizenship before those millions, some of whom having waited for over ten years, so the illegal aliens need to get to the end of the application line and risk being deported because of their applications as illegal aliens, whereupon if that would eventuate, their applications would still be in the system while they would be back in their home countries.
