Togarmah, a son of Gomer (Cimmerians) and grandson of Japheth in Genesis 10, founded the city of Tegarama in ice age Anatolia (now known as Turkey), and according to the medieval rabbinical works the Chronicles of Jerahmeel and the Book of Jasher, king Turq or Tarki was a a son of Togarmah, so there lies the etymology for the name of the nation called Turkey.
