Much of what Catholicism teaches is far afield from the Word, such as salvation by works (not by faith alone), purgatory to heaven by payments, Jesus’ mother Mary as divinity, and so much more, thus it seems perhaps most in the Catholic church are there by tradition or peer pressure, not knowing Jesus rather merely believing the hollow promise of spiritual safety by membership in that organization.
