There is a rivalry to a considerable degree between members of the House and members of the Senate, so it seems reasonable to think that the House Republicans will pass the border-security-wall funding just to watch the Senate Democrats twist in the wind for shutting-down the government by not passing the funding of merely $5 billion (1/1,000th of the federal budget).
