Wasn’t Abraham Lincoln a nationalist in his insistance to preserve the union (nation) by not allowing slavery to drive the nation into separation to become two nations? Lincoln was a Republican as later was Martin Luther King, both opposed to the Democrats, so aren’t such as Al Sharpton on the wrong team or do they prefer the Democrats’ plantation mentality?
