Republican senatorial candidate Lou Barletta’s grandson, 18 months old, is being treated for cancer, so Barletta’s opponent senator Bob Casey decided to run a campaign ad implying that Barletta would allow insurance to be denied to that baby for his “preexisting” condition, which of course is an ad clearly out of Casey’s recent desperation, because he held only a 7 point lead in a poll taken before the Kavanaugh bump. After the righteous outcry against Casey’s ad, he decided to not play it in Barletta’s hometown but still in the rest of the state, surely a roll of the dice by Casey, obviously in desperation mode.
