The Democrat senators up for reelection in states won by Trump, rather than face the dilemma whether to confirm Kavanaugh, may be subtly cajoling senators Flake, Murkowski, and Collins to vote to confirm, so that the Democrats won’t have to face that dilemma, but then again, a no vote on Kavanaugh could spell their electoral doom, they really can’t win either way.
