Life is cruel and unrelenting, all humans realizing their time on earth limited in these corrupted bodies of ours, with some joy along the way, much suffering in this fallen world of sin, disease, and death, so imagine that all this suffering has been ongoing for hundreds of millions of years, creatures having suffered terribly and died through that almost unimaginable amount of time, is that a sign of a loving and merciful Creator or should we understand Genesis as it reads, that suffering and death has been ongoing for about six thousand years and the redemption of the creation soon to happen?
