Pella had been a Canaanite city on a stream two miles east of the Jordan river about seventeen miles south of the sea of Galilee, abandoned for over a thousand years, when Jewish Christians arrived from Jerusalem (seventy miles to the south), having fled Jersalem as the Romans approached to destroy it, bringing to mind that the Jews are warned to flee to Petra in Jordan when the Antichrist claims himself messiah, the counterfeit, and a bad one at that, yet he will be widely accepted out of sin and ignorance.
