The ancestry of the Uyghur people traces back to Ugar who was a son of Togarmah, brother of Turqi, and grandson of Gomer, the progeny of Ugar who settled in northwestern China (named for Sin, a son of Canaan), and those Uyghurs became Islamized over a thousand years ago, now a million of them reported being held in Chinese reeducation camps.
