Certainly the word spread rapidly about John the Baptist having pronounced that Jesus of Nazareth was the Lamb of Elohim, the meaning of that pronouncement obvious to the religious Jews that He would be sacrificed like the lambs in ceremonial worship during their day and back to Elohim’s original sacrifice, of an animal (perhaps a lamb) to cover Adam and Eve. Considering that Jesus said that He is the Son of the Father, with Spirit of Elohim, some of the Jews may have guessed that His resurrection was a real possibility yet surely almost all were pleasantly surprised and thankful when it became reality!
