Overturning Roe v. Wade would not make abortions illegal, rather it would force each state to decide the issue (according the 10th Amendment), so how many of the 50 states do you suppose would make all abortions illegal, how many would make it legal but with many restrictions, and how many would make it legal in all circumstances? The same would hold true for the controversial issue of gay marriage if the Supreme Court would decide that the people should decide these two issues, not mentioned in the Constitution, rather than nine highly educated individuals in long robes.
