Under normal circumstances, when a nation has committed a genocide, by the Nazis in Germany for instance, the nation will admit that it happened and take some steps to make sure it never happens again, but Turkey won’t admit its genocide of the Christian Armenians over a century ago because acts such as that are encouraged by Islamic teachings and so the cloak of denial remains.
