Michael Avenatti received Michael Cohen’s bank records illegally from either Robert Mueller’s team or from a “suspicious activity report (a SAR)” from Cohen’s bank in question, so he’s being investigated now by the Justice Department. Avenatti also reported in court filings the bank records of two other people named Michael Cohen (of Toronto and Israel), so he may be facing lawsuits from those two.
