Robert Mueller had surely considered that raiding the houses and office of president Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen would give Trump plenty of reason to deny an interview with him, but Mueller risked it apparently because he’s desperate to get something on the president, or perhaps because he wants the thing to end too, and get there quick, by shooting his own investigation in the foot.
