Islamic Female Genital Mutilation Made Illegal in U. S. in 1996 But Sadly the First Prosecution Only Last Year

It’s bad enough that female genital mutilation (to inhibit sexual pleasure) wasn’t made illegal by federal law until 1996, but that only one prosecution since then in 2017 has occurred is a worse shame.
