If/when chain migration is ended, the parents of those coming to the U. S. would have to stay behind, which really would be the situation for the parents of DACA kids who though would have the option to stay in the U. S. and hope not to be deported, when their status would be no different than the parents of the new immigrants, should the Republicans succeed with Tom Cotton’s plan.
