Adam Waldman, a lobbyist for a Russian oligarch and associate of Hillary Clinton, tried last spring to arrange a meeting between Christopher Steele and senator Mark Warner, which didn’t materialize because the british Steele wanted a bipartisan request from both Warner and Republican senator Richard Burr whereas Warner wanting a private meeting in London with no paper trail and no leaks, odd for a member of the intelligence committee supposedly wanting everything open and honest.
