Maybe one of the reasons that Carter Page was allowed a peripheral role in the Trump presidential campaign is that he’d been advocating cooperation with Russia in areas where agreement can be found, perhaps in the battle against human trafficking and pedophilia, that concern by Russia made real by Vladimir Putin’s suspension of adoptions into the U. S. out of concern for the children, as an example the handling of children by the European Adoption Consultants which Hillary endorsed and was raided by the FBI shortly after Trump’s inauguration.
