Adam is considered the first man and the first Muslim of Islam, but Adam rarely if ever is used as a first name by Muslim families, probably because the story of Adam in the Bible (which preceded the Quran) includes that an animal was sacrificed to cover Adam and his wife Eve in the shame of their sin, that sacrifice applied by Elohim for humanity not mentioned in the Quran, nor either that Jesus is the “last Adam,” having come to complete the sacrifice system, no more lambs need be slaughtered in ritual.
