On Meet the Press this morning, West Virginia Democrat senator Joe Manchin described himself as essentially independent, always doing what’s best for West Virginia, where he was born and raised, and therefore that he won’t be “cow-tailing” to any party, so was that an unfortunate mispronunciation of kowtowing or did he say-it-that-way on purpose to sound more like he’s from West Virginia?
