Perhaps the Trump administration will honor the Palestinians’ request for their ancient homeland by expanding the Gaza Strip (home of the ancient Pentapolis of the Philistines) down into Egypt, rumored already that the proposal is being discussed to expand the Strip into Egypt’s Sinai peninsula along its Mediterranean seacoast to include El Arish, yet the Philistines (Palaeste come from the Adriatic region circa 1300 b. c.) occupied too around the bend at the southeastern corner of the Mediterranean over to Pelusium at the mouth of the now dried-up Pelusiac distributary of the Nile, plenty of negotiating room.
