Israel has claimed the Temple Mount (Moriah) ever since king David bought it from a Jebusite (Canaanite) woman, three thousand years ago, so if Jerusalem is not to be Israel’s capital then it would have to be Canaan’s, not Palestinian, because the Philistines (Palaeste) never controlled that land.
