Salt-bearing claystones and pure halite (rock salt) within geologic strata prove that when the halite precipitated from salt water, so too did the salt with clay become stone. In other words, if the salt had been precipitated from an ancient inland sea become isolated (as the uniformitarians opine) to then evaporate under the hot sun, the salts would not be admixed with clay in slurries which dried to become many vertical feet of claystones and “evaporites” within the geologic column.
