The etymological association of the Frisian god Fosite to Posidon is so clear to linguists that they posit iron age Greeks having brought the god to Holland which is named for the Frisian speaking Halunders of Heligoland island in the southeastern section of the North Sea, but the remnant of Frisian language is spoken in Heligoland, and Holland to the south, as well is in Denmark to the east, indicating that the land in between, lost to the sea when the Ice Age ended, was occupied by the Frisian speakers who knew Fosite who was Posidon, of submerged Atland noted in the Frisian Bok Oera Linda.
