The late Christoper Hitchens liked to say rightly that political polling isn’t to measure public opinion rather it’s to influence public opinion, which we all know was the case with the polling leading up to Trump’s eventual win over Hillary despite what the polls were “indicating,” much like the polling making the rounds by Fox saying Roy Moore is trailing by eight points in Alabama.
