Hyaenas, aurochs, and horses with woolly mammoths, musk oxen, and woolly rhinoceroses, so where would that have been? In the Chauvet-Pont d’Arc cave of southeastern France in the limestone hills along the Ardeche river are found depictions of those animals plus cave lions, bison, ibex, cave bears, reindeer, and panthers, from Ice Age days when the cloud cover was thick for cooler summers and warmer winters (and much greater precipitation year ’round), in the days of Atlantis.
