After listing the sons of Canaan in Genesis 10, the Word says that the families of the Canaanites were spread abroad, such as Sin of the Sinai, some of his progeny all the way to Sinkiang of western China then on to the Pacific, that region ever since known as Sino territory, China. Interestingly, the Amur river of far northeastern China, with a rich Ice Age history (“neolithic/bronze age”), may have been named for other Canaanites known as the Amorites.
