The Houston Texans could probably sign Johnny Manziel to a short-term contract for minuscule dollars, which perhaps they should, because Manziel has the ability, but so far not the discipline, to lead an NFL team to many victories. Now considering most would agree that Tom Savage is not the Texans’ answer at quarterback after the season-ending injury to Deshaun Watson, the possibility exists that exciting “Johnny Football” Manziel, a Texas legend from A & M, could help the Texans to the playoffs this year and become a great backup quarterback to Watson next season. Manziel is strong for his size, in the top five percent of NFL players by that metric, so getting in shape wouldn’t take long, the playbook perhaps problematic for this season however.
