If Orrin Hatch of Utah is in fact retiring from the U. S. Senate and Mitt Romney will be running to replace him, the new Republican senator, if elected, would almost have to be a staunch ally of Trump because otherwise the hell he would catch from the president and Breitbart would wither him to a whimpering mass of protoplasm, reduced to roadkill like the rest of the purple-tie Republicans. It’s certainly difficult to imagine a Tea Party challenger to the Mormon Romney beating him in that Mormon heavy state of Utah, so bet that Mitt would be a new man as senator, not wanting to incur the wrath of the Tea Party.
