When J. J. Watt (and Witney Mercilus) went down with a leg injuries, ending their season, despite the greatness being portended by rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson, things looked bleak for Houston, but today in the Texans’ game against the Cleveland Browns, Watson’s teammate at Clemson, athletic defensive lineman Carlos Watkins (#94) came up big, showing flashes of brilliance like J. J. Watt has shown for several years, perhaps a force to be reckoned with too. That the Texans picked-up Carlos Watkins in the fourth round could prove to be one of the biggest steals of the 2017 NFL draft, enough perhaps to get them to the playoffs in only the rookie years of Watson and Watkins.
